Ley Joans


Philadelphia native Ley Joans has been performing since the early age of 5. Her distinctive sound is a compilation of R&B/Pop and Hip-hop music. Her passion for music began in church; where she was the lead soloist in the church choir. Throughout the years Joans continued performing and singing in church, school as well as several local talent competitions. She came in third place at the "Miss Black Penn State University Pageant." Joans made top 20 in New York in Sean "P. Diddy" Combs Making the Band seasons 3. Joans also gained recognition on "Oprah Winfrey's Talent Search 2004."As a former band member of Left Eye's group "Ejypt," Joans credits include opening up for famous Haitian band T-Vice, and performing at the famous black activist Reverend Al Sharpton birthday party. Joans writes and arranges her own songs. Some of her musical inspiration comes from artist such as Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blige just to name a few. Joans is currently working with some of Philadelphia's most talented producers, sound engineers, and artists. Be on the lookout for her music!!!
